Scholarship Deadline – Carbon & District Ag. Society & Curling Club

Scholarship Available
~One $500.00 scholarship will be awarded annually.

Criteria for Application
~Applicant must be enrolled in a full-time, minimum one-year, post-secondary program leading to a certificate, diploma or degree. ~Applicants must: i) be pursuing post-secondary ag-related studies, or ii) be from a farming or ag-related background.
~The applicant must be a high school graduate and must have completed at least one year in Carbon School.
Previous recipients of this scholarship are ineligible to apply.

~Application form must be completed in full and accompanied by:
~Confirmation of enrollment from a post-secondary institution in a program that meets the above criteria (includes apprenticeship).
~Copy of most recent high school transcripts, which include grade 12 results.
~Applicant’s resume, including details of all farm background or agriculture-related activities that the applicant has been involved with or participated in.
~300 to 500-word essay on applicant’s future plans for contributing to agriculture.
~Two recommendation or reference letters describing the applicant’s qualification and merit for receiving this award.
