The Village of Carbon Administration Office will be closed at Noon on December 24, 2019 and re-opening on January 2, 2019.

Please ensure that your garbage is ready for pick up by 7:30am, all bags are placed in an animal proof container or bin, and each bag does not exceed 50 lbs.  There is a 4 bag limit for Residential and 8 bag limit for Commercial.  Garbage Tags can be purchased at the Village Office for $1 per tag.

Please recycle cardboard & newspaper/magazines in designated containers located at the Northwest end of the Diamond Valley Subdivision.

CARBON LIONS CHRISTMAS LIGHT CONTEST

Let’s light up the night!!!!!  Get in the spirit and sparkle up the cold Christmas season.

We encourage young and old alike to get out and light up our amazing village! The Lions Club will be offering some great prizes as incentive to light up the night.

1st place $300, 2nd place $200 and 3rd place $100!

Judging will take place the evening of December 18, 7:00pm to 9:00pm

PROPERTY TAXES

All outstanding 2019 taxes must be paid prior to DECEMBER 31, 2019.

If a balance remains on your tax account after this date, an 18% penalty will be added. Taxes may be paid by cash, cheque, debit or through your financial institution using your tax roll number as the account number.  Please allow for 3 – 5 business days to process any on-line payments.

Please note that the Village Office is CLOSED from December 24 at Noon and re-opening on January 2, 2020 at 8:30am.  Please make payment arrangements PRIOR to December 24, 2019 at Noon in order to avoid the 18% tax penalty.

Licensing your animals is not just the Animal Bylaw, but also a way to protect your adored pets. If your pet happens to go missing, then the tag it is wearing can be tracked back to the Village Office where your name and phone number is on file. If you choose not to purchase a pet tag and your animal is found at large, it could be deemed as a stray and you may be fined.
