CARBON FIRE DEPARTMENT (CFD)

Carbon Fire Department was established in 1978 and is located at 440 Caradoc Avenue in our beautiful Village.  CFD has the second largest coverage area in Kneehill County and is comprised 100% of local citizens who volunteer their services to make our community a safer place to be. Every volunteer is trained as a First Responder and resident’s of Carbon and surrounding area can rest assured that they are on call 24-7. Due to our rural situation, CFD is often first on the scene in response to emergency calls ranging from medical first response, motor vehicle collisions, structure fires, and wild land fires. The Carbon Fire Department volunteers take great pride in serving the community and its residents.

Fire practice is held bi-weekly, Tuesday nights at 7pm (1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesday of the month).
New recruits are always welcome! If you can spare a couple of hours a week and are interested in joining your local fire department, please email the Fire Chief at cfdchief@villageofcarbon.com today! Training and equipment provided.
